ABOUT:

Opened for activities in 1974 after the Yom Kippur War. The building was constructed on an area of 30 dunam assigned for the IDF Disabled Organization. The 'Halochem' Houses (Combat Soldier's Homes), are rehabilitative sports and social centers for the IDF wounded and their families. The purpose of this building is to find an appropriate solution for the members, who due to their limitations, prefer to find a framework in which they will be able to engage in activities which are vital for their physical and mental health. A great deal of thought went into the construction of the 'Halochem' houses. The buildings' facilities are adapted to the IDF wounded veterans, taking into account their various injuries and the consequences of same. We have constructed the unique pool complex, which includes an Olympic pool, a therapeutic pool for the disabled and an advanced energy center. The roof design expressed advanced architecture with functional solutions for natural lighting, acoustics and air therapy.
