ABOUT:

This is a project which constitutes the completion of the Nahalat Yehuda Educational Campus, and which will provide an advanced response to sports activities and classes for school students during school hours and for the community at large in the afternoon and the evening. In the innovative building there is an advanced sports arena with about 500 seats, a heated semi-Olympic pool and class rooms at a total area of about 6500 Sq/M. The sports arena includes a handball court, and serves the Hapoel Rishon Le'zion team. In terms of design, the walls were designed to be slanted with diagonal window and elements, and above it all, lightweight roofs with spatial geometry. All of these create dynamism for the structure and a sense of movement appropriate for a structure used for sporting activities. The building was designed with thought and care to ensure the introduction of maximum natural light in optimal climatic and ventilation locations, so that the energy consumption for lighting and air conditioning will be economical and minimal.
